Gigabit Ethernet converter suits CWDM applications

GAO Tek

Gigabit Ethernet converter

GAO Tek has launched an Gigabit Ethernet converter that converts 1000Base-T signals to 1000Base-X fibre signals and vice-versa.

The converter extends the connection distance between two Gigabit Ethernet devices via fibre cable transparently and without performance degradation.

It complies with IEEE802.3z standard and is RoHS compliant.

The data transmission rate is 2,000Mbps in full-duplex mode and 1,000Mbps in half-duplex mode.

With a SFP (Mini-GBIC) connector design, the media converter not only supports an existing variety of multimode and single-mode fibres but also preserves the flexibility to adapt to any changes in the fibre network.

This converter allows for centre-chassis installation with optional power redundancy and management features for fibre-optic networks.

It is backward compatible with 10M, 100M and 10/100M equipment.

The converter is suitable for multimode, short reach up to long reach single-mode fibre, Bi-Di and CWDM applications.

It is also certified FCC Part 15 Class A and CE.

This SFP Gigabit Ethernet converter belongs to GAO's range of Media Converter-10/100/1000M.

The range also includes the 10/100/1000M Media Converter, which is used in backbone network transmission and primarily used for Gigabit Ethernet devices links.
