LEM offers transducers designed for use in current measuring within the rail industry
LEM
ITC series of transducers
The ITC series of transducers from LEM is suitable for measuring DC, AC and pulsed currents in rail traction applications, and meets the rail industry prEN 50463 specification.
The series of transducers is made up three models — ITC 1000-S, 2000-S and 4000-S — which have current measurement ratings of 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 ARMS, reach the Class 0.5R accuracy and have a linearity error of 0.05 per cent.
According to the company, their design results in accuracy and linearity, low thermal offset and gain drifts, and also eliminates insertion losses.
Additionally, the units are not sensitive to the position of the primary conductor, have a high insulation test voltage of up to 14 kVRMS/50 Hz/1 min and feature immunity to transient overloads (100kA for 100msec), as well as to external inferences.
Two versions of the series are offered — a model in a one-piece housing (ITC 4000-S model) or one with a split construction (ITC 1000 and 2000-S models). All are CE marked and carry a five-year warranty.
