Medical-grade epoxy adhesive from Master Bond tolerates harsh treatments

Master Bond

Master Bond EP42HT-2ND2MED (Black)

Master Bond has introduced the EP42HT-2ND2MED (Black) epoxy adhesive, which, in full compliance with the testing requirements of USP Class VI plastics, offers high temperature resistance and high strength for bonding, sealing and coating applications.

This non-drip, two-component epoxy resists recurrent autoclaving and sterilisations, including radiation, steam, ethylene oxide and chemical sterilants.

EP42HT-2ND2MED (Black) is designed to be an excellent electrical insulator, while withstanding chemicals such as inorganic and organic acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Its optimal curing schedule is overnight at room temperature, followed by two to three hours of heat curing at 100–125°C.
