MacDermid's multi-functional top coats and lubricants are designed to protect automotive finishes and to predict the coefficient-of-friction characteristics.
Often interchangeable depending on the application, both can increase overall corrosion performance.
The company's top coats, including Hydroklad and Torque'N'Tension (TNT), are designed to improve the performance of any metallic coating, offering an ingredient for the next generation of hex-free finishes and capable of preventing premature cosmetic corrosion, according to the company.
They offer abrasion resistance, torque tension lubrication, ultraviolet identifiers, heat resistance, coating deformation protection, colour coding, fluid resistance and thread patch adhesion promoters.
These top coats are suitable for ensuring that dissimilar metals remain insulated and isolated.
MacDermid torque-control lubricants are specified by automotive manufacturers for their ability to perform over long periods of time and to handle a wide range of friction coefficients, including for alloy plating systems.
The company said that these lubricants provide engineers with consistent results and most feature the latest high-performance top coats.
