Guide offers overview of copper-alloy corrosion

Copper Development Association

Copper alloy publication

A publication launched at the NACE International conference offers a comprehensive overview of copper alloys and their corrosion behaviour.

It provides guidance on the alloys available and where they are used, what types of corrosion can occur and how to avoid them.

The guide has been written by Roger Francis, an expert in the field of corrosion.

The book is intended to help engineers and operators to understand reasons for using different copper alloys, as well as their operating limits so that they can achieve best performance along with their expectations.

The book includes previously unpublished data, as well as information from conferences and journals.

There are chapters introducing the different types of copper alloys commonly used in engineering, and discussing the nature of the protective films on different alloys and how they are believed to confer protection.

Copper Development Association has provided a review of various chapters in the publication and offered up-to-date industry information.

Copper Development Association and the Nickel Institute offer Marine workshops approved for CPD.
