SEE 2009 mobile computing event
The Symbian Foundation has announced the Symbian Exchange and Exposition (SEE), which will take place at Earls Court 2, London, on 27-28 October 2009.
This free event will reflect on the evolution of mobile computing beyond the realm of the mobile phone.
SEE 2009 is intended as an informal 'unconference' in which everyone participates, and aims to provide a live, interactive forum in which to interact with thousands of mobile developers, device creators and industry executives.
There will also be talks and panel sessions from industry experts and speakers, such as Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and Crossing the Chasm author, Geoffrey Moore.
A live, global ideas exchange will take place on both days of the event, aiming to provide a lively forum to allow people to network and provide education/information, as well as to share and create ideas.
A dedicated space giving both experienced and up-and-coming mobile application developers hands-on training and industry insights.
Three separate discussions offering workshops on application development, contributor and ecosystem outlook and marketing and business models will also take place.
The show will feature over 100 exhibitors, including network operators, handset vendors, mobile-application developers, component suppliers, and content providers.
New devices and developments will be demonstrated on the show floor throughout the event.
The after-show party will take place at Earls Court following the close of day one on 27th October.
