Webinar to cover basics of electrical measurements

Keithley Instruments

Webinar

Keithley Instruments will broadcast a free, web-based seminar entitled 'Understanding the Basics of Electrical Measurements' on 8 July 2010.

Designed for scientists and engineers with little experience of performing electrical measurements, this one-hour webinar is intended to equip them with a fundamental level of measurement expertise.

There will be an overview of the many applications that require measurements such as current, voltage, resistivity and temperature.

Participants will also receive guidelines on how to choose test equipment, how to design a test system, how to identify and reduce sources of error in the system and how to carry out measurements using existing equipment.

The webinar is accompanied by an interactive question-and-answer session (during live broadcast) where participants can ask the presenter for additional insight on this topic.

'Understanding the Basics of Electrical Measurements' will be presented by Derek MacLachlan, a staff applications engineer at Keithley Instruments.

The event is free to the public, but participants must register in advance at http://www.keithley.info/basics10.
