Training offered for IEC 61508 safety standard
Phaedrus Systems
RiskCAT 61508
Phaedrus Systems is providing developers of safety critical embedded systems with tools and training on the recently released second edition of IEC 61508.
The standard's requirements can be analysed using RiskCAT 61508.
A tool for rapid and intuitive navigation of the standard, RiskCAT 61508 includes a PDF of the main sections, which can be annotated, with annotations hyperlinked to appropriate project documentation.
RiskCAT provides a selection of appropriate measures for a specific project and can calculate the appropriate Safety Integrity Levels (SILs).
RiskCAT 61508 for IEC 61508 Edition 2 will soon be available and can be pre-ordered from Phaedrus Systems.
In September, Phaedrus Systems will be launching a series of seminar on IEC 61508, led by Bill Black, a safety consultant who worked on revising IEC 61508.
