Distance learning
IDC Technologies has announced that one of its engineering students is studying the Advanced Diploma in Industrial Automation on Macquarie Island.
Steve Szekely is based at the Australian Antarctic Division station on the island in the Southern Ocean, where he is a communications technical officer.
Szekely is studying the industrial automation diploma, which is offered by IDC Technologies via distance learning.
The course has been designed with flexibility in mind, and the varied webcast times and personal study can usually be fitted around work commitments.
