Tekronix video test equipment

Tektronix, a provider of test, measurement and monitoring solutions, has announced a suite of video test equipment.

The range includes a PQA500 Picture Quality Analyser; MTS430 MPEG Test System; MTM400A MPEG Monitor; VCLIPS Video Test Clips; MTS4EA Elementary Stream Analyser; and WFM7120 Waveform Monitor.

The Tektronix suite of equipment offers RGB Networks test, measurement and monitoring tools to help preserve signal integrity, perform stress testing/design evaluation, ensure standards compliance and optimise system performance.

The PQA500 optimises video-processing algorithms and video-distribution systems with a suite of repeatable, objective quality measurements that correspond with subjective human visual assessment.

The MTS430 offers analysis solutions for isolating problems with compressed video products or services used in cable, satellite, terrestrial, fixed and mobile networks.

The user can diagnose problems anywhere in the network environment, from transmission links (RF or IP layer) to content processing (TS layer).

The MTM400A provides a multi-layer, multi-channel, remote monitoring and measurement capability at IP, RF and transport layers and supports DVB (TR 101 290), ATSC, DigiCipher II (DCII), ISDB-T (terrestrial and mobile), and ISDB-TB (Brazil) standards.

Vclips are a set of short video clips designed to test video encoders and decoders.

The MTS4EA Elementary Stream Analyser is a PC-based software package for the deferred time analysis of encoded audio and video elementary streams.

The WFM7120 provides video waveform monitoring and analysis capabilities including Physical Layer Measurement, Digital Data Analysis, CaptureVu, A/V Delay Measurement and Simultaneous Input display.
