Starterkits evaluate COM Express or ETX modules
Avalue Technology
ESK-COM and ESK-ETX starter kits
Avalue's Starterkits, ESK-COM and ESK-ETX, are designed to provide customers with quick test and evaluation.
Each Starterkit contains the COM Express or ETX CPU modules with one Micro-ATX or ATX carrier board.
They also come with accessories including one passive heat sink or heat spreader, one power supply, one starter guide and also a design guide CD in which users can find Windows XP Embedded and Linux BSPs, drivers and schematics.
The computer-on-modules are said to offer benefits such as cost savings, quick installation and flexible applications.
According to the pin-out type-2 design of carrier boards, customers can reduce a lot of time for installation and examination.
The baseboards could be the references for those who are capable of designing their own baseboards, including choosing storage device interfaces, testing software compatibility, or selecting expansion slots for extra system functions.
Based on the modular concept, Avalue's Starterkit is available for evaluation with other COM Express or ETX modules.
This Starterkit can be ordered with any one of Avalue's upper boards by request.
Due to the energy-saving features and small footprint of Atom-based processors, the computer-on-modules can be used in applications such as portable devices, medical terminals, gaming and so on.
They can also be used in space-constrained environments, such as in-vehicle systems, retail floor devices and infotainment systems.
