Current clamps extend power measurement

Fluke

Current clamps

Choice of current clamps extend the functionality of a user's digital multimeter, power meter, oscilloscope or data logger.

Fluke has introduced two new AC current clamps to measure up to 3000A, the i2000 Flex and i3000s Flex, and two AC/DC current clamps to measure up to 30A with a 1mA resolution, the i30 and i30s.

Compliant to European Category III safety standards, there is a choice of models to enable extension of the functionality of a user's digital multimeter, power meter, oscilloscope or data logger.

The new Fluke i2000 Flex and i3000s Flex AC current clamps measure up to 2000A and 3000A with bandwidths up to 20 or 50kHz, respectively, on maximum voltages of 600V RMS.

Each has a flexible and lightweight wrap-around measuring head for easy installation in hard to reach areas: these act as a Rogowski coil for measuring currents in conductors of maximum diameters 178 or 275mm depending on the model.

The i3000s Flex-4PK contains four measuring heads for use with power quality measurement tools.

The new i30 and i30s AC/DC current clamps use the Hall effect for accurate, nonintrusive measurements of conductors up to a maximum diameter of 19mm and up to 300V RMS AC.

The i30 has a bandwidth of 20kHz and the i30s a bandwidth of 100kHz.

The patented magnetic circuit design enables low currents to be measured over a wide bandwidth and with a high resolution of 1mA.

Typical applications include inverters, SMPS and industrial controllers requiring current measurement and/or waveform analysis.
