Current clamps aid power quality measurement

Fluke

I5sPQ3 AC current clamp pack

Three new current clamps complement the Fluke 430 Series of three-phase power quality analysers.

Fluke has introduced a new set of three current clamps which complement the Fluke 430 Series of three-phase power quality analysers.

Capable of measuring up to 5A, they are ideally suited for use on secondary circuit transformers.

The new Fluke i5sPQ3 AC current clamp pack contains three current clamps fitted with 2.5m flexible cables.

With Cat III 600V safety ratings, they are designed to concurrently measure the three phases running in conductors up to 15mm in diameter.

They will measure AC currents from 10mA up to 5A at frequencies between 40Hz and 3kHz.

These i5sPQ3 current clamps have been introduced as an ideal optional accessory to the handheld Fluke 433 and 434 three-phase power quality analysers.

The Fluke 433/434 are troubleshooting tools that can be used on virtually all power connections and outlets in low-voltage power-distribution systems.

They offer innovative features that enable power quality problems to be accessed faster and in greater detail.

Their large data memory can be transferred to a PC using FlukeView software for analysis or use in reports.

The first instruments of their type to meet the Cat IV 600V safety standard, the Fluke 433 and 434 measure all power system parameters in accordance with the latest IEC61000-4-30 standard, like true-RMS voltage and current, frequency, power, power consumption (energy), unbalance and flicker, and can track (inter-) harmonics.

They also automatically capture events like transients (as fast as 5us and as high as 6kV), interruptions, rapid voltage changes and dips and swells.
