Corelis supplies functional test system to QSC

Scanexpress JTAG Embedded Test system
Corelis has integrated a Scanexpress JTAG Embedded Test (JET) functional test system at the production facilities of QSC Audio Products in Costa Mesa, California.
QSC, a provider of professional audio products, implemented Corelis Scanexpress JET alongside Scanexpress boundary-scan tools to increase Flash programming rates and total test coverage during manufacturing.
The company's Q-Sys integrated system platform was selected as the initial target platform for Scanexpress JET deployment.
Q-Sys is a complete routing, processing and control solution for large-scale applications built around the Q-Sys Core - a centralised processor responsible for managing audio processing and control functions.
Rising demand for Q-Sys production led QSC to a point where test and programming times became an increasing bottleneck.
Ryan Jones, Corelis's senior technical marketing engineer, said: 'QSC has been successfully using Corelis boundary-scan test systems in production for almost a decade now.
'Integration with JET offered the next logical step to reduce its test time and meet its growing production requirements,' he added.
Corelis engineers were quickly able to implement JET technology in QSC's Q-Sys test process.
Combined with QSC's boundary-scan tests, JET added fast ISP as well as at-speed RAM tests.
'Test time per unit was reduced from 10 minutes just for programming the Flash down to around two minutes,' said Jose Gutierrez, QSC's digital test engineer.
