Teseq improves radiated EMC immunity test tool
Teseq
ITS 6006 Immunity Test System
Teseq has improved its ITS 6006 Immunity Test System for radiated EMC immunity testing by enhancing the RF power meters used in conjunction with the unit.
The ITS 6006, which can be used in EMC applications such as information technology, medical, RF, traffic telematics and mobile communications, features two updated, rugged RF power meter models, the PMR 6006 and PMU 6006, with an expanded frequency range from 1MHz to 6GHz and a linear measurement range of -45 to 20dBm.
Both models feature a large dynamic range, fast measurement, a sturdy design and a frequency range that matches the application being performed to meet the rigorous demands of EMC immunity testing.
The PMR 6006 and PMU 6006 are used in conjunction with Teseq's compact ITS 6006, comprised of an RF signal generator with AM and PM modulators, RF switches, inputs for up to three external power meters, EUT (equipment under test) monitoring and control ports, amplifier control outputs and software for comprehensive EMC testing.
The key benefit of the ITS 6006 is that it features integrated RF switching, simplified cabling and connections, and a shortened set-up time, making the system a cost-effective, integrated solution with less error sources and insertion loss.
The RF signal generator output can be switched to one of four outputs where up to four power amplifiers can be connected.
Additional RF switches are available to combine two amplifier output paths into a single antenna connection.
Two of these relays are included for the four amplifier paths.
A total of three PMR 6006 units from Teseq can be connected directly to the ITS 6006 using software that permits numerous power meter readings concurrently.
Teseq's other meter, the PMU 6006, is powered by the USB interface to which it is connected and comes standard with Windows software that manages multiple power meter readouts simultaneously.
This version of the power meter is connected directly to the PC controller and can be substituted for the PMR meter.
In addition, the USB version can be used to increase the number of power meters in a system for up to a total of eight.
The system, controlled remotely by RS-232, LAN or USB, features software that executes basic and configuration function tests such as scalar quadripole measurements for measuring RF cable insertion loss.
Teseq's WIN 6000 or Compliance 5 comprehensive test system software can be used in conjunction with the ITS 6006 system.
