A new low-cost multipoint scanning hipot/safety analyser combines five functions in one instrument.
Caltest has a new low-cost multipoint scanning hipot/safety analyser manufactured by US-based Vitrek Corporation.
Designated the V5, this innovative product combines five functions in one instrument.
They are AC hipot to 5kV, DC hipot to 6kV, insulation resistance to 10Gohm, high-current earth bond measurement up to 42A and a built in eight-channel HV scanner.
All these features are incorporated in a rack mounted enclosure measuring 432 x 432 x 133mm and weighing 18kg.
On the front is an easy to read LCD that shows results for a sequence of up to 16 tests.
This versatile instrument has the capability of allowing the operating formats to be chosen for insulation resistance testing with outputs available from 50 to 1000V Other features include fully programmable RS232, and optional GPIB interfaces, selectable arc detection and 10 position sequence memory with up to 16 tests per sequence Incorporating the latest state of the art electronics, this high performance product has applications in the manufacturing, engineering, testing, electronic/electrical component evaluation, product safety and development uses.
