Underwriters Laboratories launches UL Europe Mark
UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
UL Europe Mark
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has introduced the UL Europe Mark (UL-EU).
Manufacturers seeking to reduce the number of certification marks appearing on a product can now obtain the UL-EU Mark in combination with the US and Canada Listing Marks.
The company claims that there are several benefits for manufacturers that obtain the UL-EU Mark in combination with the UL Listing Marks for Canada and the US.
These include efficiencies gained by taking a given product through the safety testing and certification process once, receiving authorisation to apply the combined UL certification mark to demonstrate compliance to the marketplace and leveraging that single source for post-market compliance.
For consumers, the new UL-EU Mark means that they can look for UL on the products they buy and know that the products have been tested and certified to high safety standards.
