Rohde and Schwarz extends RandS FSV range

RandS FSV range
Rohde and Schwarz has added two additional models to its RandS FSV range: one up to 13.6GHz and one up to 30GHz.
The RandS FSV13 and RandS FSV30 combined signal and spectrum analysers offer high sensitivity and large-signal immunity.
Especially in the microwave range, sensitivity is an important criterion when selecting a spectrum analyser.
For spurious emissions up to 12.75GHz in wireless communications equipment and systems, as well as in higher frequency ranges, the requirements are very stringent.
A low displayed average noise level (DANL) yields measurement results that are more accurate because the signal-to-noise ratio is greater.
The RandS FSV features a DANL of less than -148dBm (1Hz) at 13GHz and less than -144dBm (1Hz) at 30GHz, as well as a third order intercept of 15dBm.
Due to its high sweep speed the RandS FSV can perform measurements faster than comparable instruments.
For users from the aerospace and defence sector, the new RandS FSV models offer a removable hard drive and USB interfaces that can be deactivated.
By making the new instruments compatible with legacy instruments, Rohde and Schwarz meets the requirement of keeping test systems in service for decades to come.
Like all instruments of the RandS FSV range, the RandS FSV13 and RandS FSV30 support all current mobile radio and wireless standards by means of software applications.
A measurement demodulator for AM, FM or fM demodulators and the support of Rohde and Schwarz power sensors are also important features for development and production.
Both models are operated using a touch screen, an on-screen keyboard and an expanded control panel.
