High-quality DMMs join PXI package offering
Amplicon
Signametrics PXI DMM
The Signametrics PXI DMM range of multimeters have all the functionality and performance normally associated with a high quality benchtop unit.
Available now from Amplicon is the Signametrics PXI DMM range of multimeters.
These DMMs have all the functionality and performance normally associated with a high quality benchtop unit.
Amplicon can now offer a complete PXI solutions package, from instruments to controllers, and with a range of chassis options.
Three types of multimeter are available from the low-cost 5.5 digit, through the industry standard 6.5 digit to the precision 7.5 digit DMM.
The PXI DMM range is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including automated production testing, laboratory automation, and portable/field testing.
Major users of Signametrics' DMMs are in the automotive and aerospace industries and in education and research and development.
John Hayward, Product Manager of Amplicon's Measurement and Control Group commented: "The addition of this range of multimeters means that customers have access to one of the most comprehensive range of PXI products available".
The SMX2060 7.5-digit series boasts 24,000,000 counts with fast measurement rates peaking at 20kHz.
The SMX2064 also includes a programmable DC source for generating voltage and current.
Scope-like triggering and extended DC current and resistance ranges make this the most advanced DMM in its class.
The SMX2040 series is a 6.5-digit multimeter providing 3,300,000 counts, which is a better than 300% dynamic range improvement over other units in this category.
The SMX2044 adds force/guard to provide six-wire ohms measurement for use with networks and resistors in circuit.
It also includes DC current and voltage sources and an alternating voltage generator.
Other features include temperature measurements, capacitance, frequency and various timing measurements.
The SMX2055 is a 5.5-digit low-cost DMM with 1000,000 counts and 115 readings per second.
It features two- and four-wire ohms measurement with six range selections.
In addition, it can measure true RMS alternating voltage and current, diode current-voltage characteristics from 100nA to 1mA and many other standard measurements.
All of these PXI DMMs are plug-and-play and are provided with "front panel" software, providing the same "touch and feel" of bench-top DMMs.
They are compatible with other members of the Signametrics PXI and PCI DMM families, facilitating painless upgrade.
In addition, DLLs are included for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP applications development in Visual Basic, C, LabView, Matlab and most other DLL-based software development tools.
Linux drivers are also provided.
