SE867-AGPS standalone GPS module
Telit Wireless Solutions is expanding its portfolio of integrated GSM/GPS solutions with the launch of the SE867-AGPS standalone GPS module.
The SE867-AGPS is the smallest module in the Telit product portfolio.
It features a small form factor, high sensitivity and low power consumption.
The GPS module is particularly suitable for use in telematics and fleet management solutions, PDAs or security applications, according to Telit.
The SE867-AGPS is a cost-effective solution for active antennas and offers flexibility for GPS applications with minimal integration costs.
This is ensured in particular by an ultra-compact form factor of 18 x 18 x 3.5mm and the two-layer host PCB design.
The BGA module operates in a wide temperature range from -40C to +85C and is equipped with a powerful yet energy-saving baseband processor.
This makes it ideal for integration in high-volume GPS applications and mobile data devices where module size and low power consumption are critical factors.
The SE867-AGPS is also equipped with extended hardware warranty.
The new module is AGPS (Assisted GPS)-compatible.
Applications requiring an extremely quick GPS-Fix can call up the correct position within two seconds with the SE867-AGPS, Telit claimed.
