VM60 XMC module
Varisys has announced the availability of the VM60, an XMC module that includes two of the latest Virtex-6 FPGA devices and conforms to the Vita42.0 standard.
The VM60 is said to provide users with a simple way to add FPGA-based processing power to their embedded systems.
The two Virtex-6 FPGAs on the VM60 are said to provide a powerful engine for data processing applications.
With options of LX240/365/550T and SX315/475T devices, developers can optimise processing resources to the needs of their application.
The VM60 is said to be ideally suited to video processing scaling and manipulation, radar and sonar data processing, speech recognition/text to speech, industrial control, materials testing and vetronics.
The VM60 can be hosted by industry standard carrier cards, available in many form factors, enabling its use in the following system architectures: PCI, PCIe, VME, VPX and VXS.
The FPGA processing resources on the VM60 can be used to implement complex algorithms such as FFTs, digital down conversion and filtering in real time.
