Mercury Computer Systems
multicomputer
The Race++ Series PowerPC 7448 multicomputer is a drop-in upgrade that speeds-up processors and increases L2 cache size and performance.
The PowerPC 7448 contains a Mercury MCJ6 motherboard and two faster daughtercards that interface directly with the Race++ switch fabric.
It can be used to upgrade previous Race++ Series PowerPC products.
The two daughtercards on the Race++ Series PowerPC 7448 multicomputer combine two 1.06-GHz MPC7448 processors with Altivec technology.
The low-power version of the PowerPC 7448 enables a Race++ product upgrade with less power dissipation.
PowerPC 7448 is suitable for military computing platforms.
