Multimedia Daughter Card
Mistral Solutions has brought out the Multimedia Daughter Card (MDC) for the OMAP35x evaluation module (EVM) from Texas Instruments (TI).
The MDC, a plug-in card for the OMAP35x EVM, supports video and camera input in addition to a high-speed USB 2.0 port.
The card plugs into the expansion connector present on the main board of the OMAP35x EVM.
The MDC enables users to capture video via S-Video, composite or component inputs, which can be processed by the OMAP3530 application processor.
The card provides a HSUSB HOST port and a camera connector to support camera input.
Additionally, the MDC provides provision to support future daughter cards.
The latest release of the OMAP35x Digital Video Software Development Kit (DVSDK) supports the MDC features and provides a complete development environment with audio and video codecs to simplify and accelerate the development of multimedia-based devices.
Mistral also offers customised product realisation services to help customers adapt these features in their end-product design and help them take their designs to production.
