NISE 1000 for AFC

Nexcon UK is offering a fan-less industrial computing system designed specifically to address applications within automatic fare collection (AFC), such as access/barrier control and ticketing.

As such, the NISE 1000 series is claimed to be suitable for AFC applications within the metro/underground, railways, parking systems and airports.

To address applications within AFC, the NISE 1000 features a range of input/output (I/O) interfaces such as 14 com ports (in NISE 1020) and 48-channel digital I/O (in NISE 1000) without the need to purchase an additional add-on card.

The onboard NVRAM socket supports data protection, even in the absence of power, and has a capacity ranging from 128KB to 512KB.

This ensures that the last transaction record will always be stored.

With a range of central-processing units (CPUs) supported by Celeron M 600MHz to Pentium M 1.8GHz, the NISE 1000 series can meet most application requirements.

Three versions are available: the NISE 1000, which is targeted at access control and is equipped with 48-channel digital I/O; the NISE 1020, which has dual-independent display (VGA and LVDS), making it a suitable platform for ATM, ticketing and self-service machines; and the NISE 1010, which has NVRAM for online transactions and ticketing.
