Ibase Technology

MI952 embedded platform

IBase Technology, a manufacturer of industrial motherboards, has launched the MI952 embedded platform featuring the AMD 780E chipset.

This is claimed to pack performance, scalability and power efficiency into a solution targeted at high-end embedded client applications such as industrial automation, test and measurement, digital signage and surveillance systems.

To support a range of performance and power points, the MI952 motherboard is compatible with both AMD Athlona dual-core processors and low-power AMD Athlona single-core processors from 8W to 65W.

Through the integrated ATI Radeona HD 3200 graphics, the motherboard comes with a range of display interfaces such as DVI-I, DVI-D and HDMI and supports two independent displays.

It also has an optional 128Mb GDDR3 dedicated frame buffer (sideport memory) for optimisation in power savings and video decoding.

Standard input/output connectivity includes high-definition audio, two Gigabit LAN ports, two SATA ports, eight USB ports and four serial ports.

Samples of the IBase MI952 AMD 780E-based Mini-ITX motherboard are available now.
