DV unveils Displaymark and more at Electronica

Digital View

Displaymark/HE Series

Digital View (DV) is to demonstrate advances in LCD controller technology and controller-based solutions for remote displays, monitoring and image enhancement at Electronica 2008.

The company will introduce its Displaymark technology, which confirms - remotely and in real time - that monitors in digital signage systems are functioning correctly and are actually displaying an image.

Displaymark will be connected to DV's SVH-1920, a multisync controller board designed to support up to 1920 x 1200 high-resolution LCDs.

Also on display will be DV's HE Series family of commercial off-the shelf LCD controllers designed to comply with the standards required for the harsh environments encountered in military and rugged industrial applications.

The HE-1400, HE-1600 Series and HE-1920 controllers are designed specifically to aid manufacturers building hardened military and industrial LCD display systems.

They feature wide tolerance power supplies, locking connectors and low-mass tantalum capacitors for maximum tolerance to shock and vibration.

All are 100 per cent RoHS compliant.

DV will also be showing two new, soon-to-be-released product solutions in one demonstration.

The IE-1000 Image Enhancer is an add-on board to DV LCD controllers and enables 120Hz panel support, motion compensation de-interlacing, and other image optimisation features.

To demonstrate the high image optimisation benefits, the video source output will be coming from the Viewstream500 solid state digital media player with 1080p60 high definition video.
