Advantech has introduced the a new PICMG 1.0 full-sized single-board computer (SBC), designed to deliver high performance and mainstream plug-in capability for modern industrial applications, especially where economy is important.
PCA-6011 is a quad-core SBC that supports LGA 775 Intel Core 2 Quad Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron 400 series processors with FSB up to 1,333MHz and DDR3 800/1,066MHz SDRAM up to 4GB.
Its embedded Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500, with shared memory up to 352MB, provides 2D/3D graphic processing power without the need for an additional graphic card — this helps to reduce extra cost and power consumption.
Connectivity is a significant feature of the PCA-6011: it has four SATA2 ports supporting S/W RAID 0,1,5,10, providing high data transmission rates of 300MB per second; two COM ports that can be used for device control applications; dual Gigabit Ethernet LANs for networking.
Further I/O interfaces, including ISA, FDD, PS/2, and parallel port, serve to ensure full backward compatibility.
