AR-R5800

Acrosser Technology, a networking communication designer and manufacturer, has launched the AR-R5800 networking platform based on the Intel Core 2 Quad/Duo core processor.

The platform features a 1U rack-mount chassis, maximum 4GB DDR3 memory, eight GbE LAN ports, two LAN bypasses, PCI expansion slot, four USB ports, two SATA HDDs and console port.

AR-R5800 is a rack-mount platform, measuring 440 x 372 x 44mm, which can be installed in the 19in rack.

It carries Intel Core 2 Quad-core or Dual-core or Pentium or Celeron processors to deliver more efficiency, higher processing throughput and improved performance on applications.

AR-R5800 is equipped with a maximum of 4GB DDR3 memory and eight LAN ports.

System Integrators can select different configurations for their network appliances.

The platform is claimed to offer the best P/P ratio in applications such as UTM, IDS/IPS, VPN, firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam, RSA gateway, QoS and streaming.

To prevent data corruption or improve HDD performance, AR-R5800 is equipped with RAID 0 or 1 feature.

Customers can use RAID 0 to double the HDD performance or RAID 1 for data redundancy.

In addition, AR-R5800 uses an 80 Plus PSU for energy efficiency.

The mini-PCI and PCI have eight expansion slots, enabling the system integrator to add extra features such as Wi-Fi or security accelerator to these platforms.

The software- and hardware-configurable LAN bypass feature also avoids the breaks in communication due to power loss or system hang up.
