EDSPS
Lantronix has announced the availability of its latest Evolution Device/Terminal Server products: the eight-port and 16-port EDSPS.
Using industry-standard management tools, the multiport device servers allow serial equipment, such as medical devices, kiosks and retail terminals, to be accessed and managed via the internet.
The RoHS compliant EDSPS includes strong SSH, SSL and AES-encryption, enterprise-level security.
Lantronix's secure Evolution OS ensures data transported through the EDS is protected from denial of service, port mapping and other hostile internet attacks.
The data centre-grade level of protection is easy to configure and allows organisations to attach multiple electronic devices to a corporate network.
The EDS's standards-based communications include a simplified, Cisco-like command line interface (CLI) to assist with set-up and control, in addition to XML-based and web configuration tools.
Available in February, the EDSPS is an enhanced RoHS compliant replacement for Lantronix Ethernet Terminal Servers, the ETS8PS and the ETS16PS.
