Applianx DPNSS-to-Q.SIG gateway
Aculab has announced that the Applianx DPNSS-to-Q.SIG gateway has been added to Ascom's product portfolio.
Through the Applianx DPNSS-to-Q.SIG gateway, Ascom can provide an additional migration solution that enables enterprises to integrate Ascom's IP-DECT and voice over Wi-Fi systems with its legacy DPNSS-based PBXs.
This allows enterprises to utilise Ascom's IP-DECT and VoWi-Fi systems, which provides cordless integration to both legacy and IP PBXs - existing investments can be protected without disruption to current network operations.
Neil Dennis, product and marketing manager for Ascom (UK), said: 'As Ascom is not a PBX manufacturer, we need the ability to integrate with as many different PBXs as possible.
'Where IP-PBXs are concerned, we achieve this by ensuring that our systems are VoIP standards compliant together with a program of interoperability testing.
'Where our customers have legacy DPNSS-based PBXs, the Applianx DPNSS-to-Q.SIG gateway is a fundamental component of our solution,' he added.
'With Applianx, enterprises can now reap the benefits of VoIP and onsite wireless communications presented by the IP-DECT platform, yet maintain their legacy equipment,' said Faye McClenahan, Aculab's head of strategic marketing.
The Applianx DPNSS-to-Q.SIG gateway provides connection for up to two DPNSS trunks and two Q.SIG trunks to support from 30 to 60 DPNSS-to-Q.SIG PBX extensions.
It is able to support over 20 DPNSS supplementary services of many legacy communications systems, such as route optimisation, transfer, caller name display and call diversion.
The gateway has been designed to be extremely simple to use and is configured via a web-based GUI.
Diagnostic tools are also available to help with troubleshooting, such as the Applianx Trace Tool.
