Gene-U15B

Aaeon, an industrial PC manufacturer, has released the Gene-U15B, a new 3.5in subcompact board with Intel Atom Z5x0P processor and US15WP controller hub chipset.

The model can accept a 200-pin DDR2 400/533 SODIMM up to 2GB in capacity for system memory.

Operating system usage and storage space can be achieved through the single SATA 3.0Gb/sec connector and an onboard SST SSD with a maximum of 4GB.

Expansion options include one Mini Card (Mini-PCI Express) slot and one LPC bus connector.

The Gene-U15B has many I/O ports, including six USB ports, four COM ports, an 8-bit digital I/O connector, one line-in/line-out/mic-in audio connector, onboard Gigabit Ethernet and one keyboard and mouse port.

The default power requirement of the Gene-U15B is +12VDC, but +5VDC only power requirement is available as an option.

A PS/2 keyboard/mouse cable is included with the board with additional interface cables for USB, audio and serial ports are available as optional accessories.

These include cables that can be used to interface the onboard two-pin power connector to standard four-pin power connectors of a PC power supply.
