Nexcom has expanded its range of multimedia panel PCs with the launch of the 8.9in MPPC 0810T for applications such as point-of-sale/kiosk terminals, home automation and in-vehicle digital signage.

Incorporating a 16:9 LCD touch-screen panel and rugged industrial motherboard, MPPC 0810T is based on the energy-efficient Intel Atom N270 CPU and will support resolutions up to 1,024 x 600.

The slimline MPPC 0810T offers a IP-65-compliant touch-screen panel, dual Ethernet LAN and optional wi-fi connectivity.

MPPC 0810T is based on the Onboard Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz (2.5W) CPU with Intel 945GSE/ICH7M and ITE8712F I/O chip, and supports up to 2GB of DDR2 memory.

I/O interfaces include 2 x USB, 1 x audio line-out and 1 x RS232/422/485, while an additional VGA video output enables administrators to connect an additional display.

Content can be updated via Dual GbE LAN or wireless internet connection (via mini PCI card) with storage via a 2.5in SATA HDD or Compact Flash.

All platforms in the MPPC series are totally fan-less and available in 8.9, 21.6 and 37in configurations.
