Alioth rapid-development kit
E-con Systems has brought out the Alioth rapid-development kit for its ESOM300 system on module.
This release is an ideal generic platform to get customer application-development started.
Alioth features a carrier board designed for industrial applications such as industrial controllers, in-vehicle telematics, vehicle-mount systems, test and measurement equipment and mobile devices.
The Alioth board supports Ethernet, touchscreen, SDIO, SPI, I2C, LCD controller, three UARTs, one wire, local bus expansion, USB high-speed client and camera interface.
It also supports peripherals such as CAN controller, eight-channel 16-bit ADC controller, analogue VGA, USB 2.0 host and RS485.
Customers can optionally choose to have an LCD of 4.3in (480x272) or 7in (800x480) with touchscreen.
As part of the rapid-development kit, E-con Systems provides detailed schematics, hardware user manual, bill of materials, and application notes to help the customers design their custom board faster and therefore speed up the time to market.
E-con Systems provides a production-ready Windows CE 6.0 R3 BSP for the Alioth.
The BSP is available with the device drivers for all peripherals and is completely customisable.
