Wade-8012
American Portwell Technology has introduced Wade-8012, a Mini-ITX embedded system board suitable for gaming, kiosk, digital signage, medical/healthcare, defence and industrial control applications.
The Wade-8012 supports the Intel Q67 chipset and the latest second-generation Intel Core processor platform (formerly codenamed 'Sandy Bridge') in an LGA1155 package, integrated with the memory and PCI Express controller supporting two-channel DDR3 memory and PCI Express 2.0 lanes to provide good graphics performance.
Combining the Intel Q67 chipset with a processor from the second-generation Intel Core processor range, it enables Portwell's Wade-8012 Mini-ITX embedded system board to deliver smart security, cost-saving manageability and high performance for business platforms.
The Wade-8012 is the first in a series of Portwell products designed with the Intel Q67 chipset and the latest second-generation Intel Core processor.
It is versatile enough to be an off-the-shelf embedded solution, as well as a great platform for customers who want to integrate it into an embedded system.
The Wade-8012 Mini-ITX embedded board includes many practical features.
These include: support for next-generation SATA hard drives, based on the new SATA 6Gb/s storage specification; configuration of six SATA (two SATA 6Gbps and four 3Gbps ports) connectors; RAID 0/1/5 and 10; support for the latest PCIe 2.0 device for double speed and bandwidth, enhancing system performance; two long-DIMM memory slot for DDR3 SDRAM up to 8GB; up to eight USB 2.0 ports (four on rear I/O and four on board); VGA / HDMI / DVI-D; and 2GB Ethernet.
