Axiomtek has introduced the GOT-5840TL, an 8.4in super-slim touch-panel computer that supports an ultra-low power AMD LX800 500MHz processor with fanless operation.
The GOT-5840TL has a rugged NEMA 4/IP65-compliant plastic front bezel, and is equipped with an 8.4in SVGA TFT LCD with resolution up to 800 x 600 pixels.
The touch-panel computer is equipped with one MiniPCI slot and has a Compact-Flash card for storage capability.
The GOT-5840TL is suitable for factory automation, machine maker operating systems and building automation.
The rugged panel system can resist the harsh conditions of most industrial environments.
It also offers vibration resistance up to 2Grms (with Compact-Flash) for stable and reliable operations.
The GOT-5840TL incorporates a fuse to protect the system from being damaged by over-current.
It is compatible with Windows XP/XP Embedded and Windows CE.Net, which allows developers to quickly bring devices to market, claims Axiomtek.
The computer provides a MiniPCI slot for wireless expansions.
By plugging in a wireless LAN card, customers can use the touch-panel PC in a wireless network environment.
An optional rotational WLAN antenna is also available.
The GOT-5840TL provides users with several I/O interfaces such as two COM ports, one fast Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports and an audio port.
Accessories include a desktop stand, VESA arm, panel mount kit and wall mount kit.
