Avalue Technology, a Display Solutions partner, has extended its Mini PC ASM and EPC Series with Intel Atom platforms for multiple applications.
The ASM and EPC series have now been integrated with the Atom N270 processor and the Intel 945GSE express chipset for full applications.
According to the company, the ASM-AT270 - powered by Atom N270 - delivers an excellent return on investment (RoI) to customers who are looking to replace existing, less efficient thin clients.
The ASM-AT270 is suitable for both home and industrial applications as it is fanless and compact, measuring just 182mm x 257mm x 25mm.
The power-saving, heat-sink housing means that it is capable of running 24 hours a day, stably and silently.
The ASM-AT270 off-the-shelf system is suitable for a variety of applications.
It is also optimised for digital-signage applications, featuring a fully VESA-compliant mounting to facilitate integration with displays.
Its input/output (I/O) connectors and the dual-gigabit local-area network (LAN) are ready to deliver information for digital-signage platforms.
Developing Avalue's EPC-series product line, the Atom-based EPC-AT270 also features a compact style, measuring 178mm x 112mm x 50mm.
This is intended to offer more flexibility for versatile spaces and applications.
The size of the EPC series suits the standard 1 DIN vehicle specification to be easily embedded into a car, becoming a fully functional car computer by removing the external aluminium case.
Adopting Avalue's 3.5in (8.9cm) SBC module, an EPC-AT270 supports up to 2Gb of DDR2 memory.
Benefits include low costs, low power consumption, low temperature, a low breakdown rate and the reliability of transmission speed.
As a result, EPC-AT270 is used in range of embedded mini-PC applications, such as interactive clients, gaming platforms and industrial automation equipment.
