AIS has unveiled a line of industrial-automation panel PCs featuring fanless Intel Atom Z series processors and LED backlit displays for ultra-low-power-consumption operation.
The range is available in open-frame, panel-mount, IP65/NEMA 4 sealed-front-bezel and chassis configurations, ranging in size from 5.7 to 15in.
All features are packaged in a compact-form-factor housing, which is easily deployed into buildings and factories for industrial operator panels, home-automation control, PC-based PLCs, heating ventilation and cooling (HVAC) control, lighting management, building control and security.
LED backlit displays are said to offer long life, high durability and low power consumption compared to standard CCFL backlights.
AIS' industrial-grade panel PCs are designed to be reliable, easily programmable and accessed supporting a non-proprietary-hardware-based solution with long-lifetime support and availability, and high performance.
Additional options such as sunlight-readable transflective films, privacy films, touch screens, wide-voltage-range boards, Power over Ethernet, wide-temperature-range modules and shock/vibration enhancements are available.
The automation systems actively monitor, control and change the operation of electrically powered devices such as lighting, HVAC and electrical generation to maximise efficiency.
