Aaeon has announced the HSB-965P half-size CPU module.
The HSB-965P is a PCI half-size single-board computer (SBC) with available chassis, making it suitable for enterprise and industrial applications.
The HSB-965P uses the GME965 and ICH8M chipset, supporting Intel Core 2 Duo processors with an FSB of 533/667/800MHz.
The lower-cost GLE960 chipset achieves a balance of cost and performance.
Offering two 200-pin DDRII Sodimm sockets, the HSB-965P supports dual-channel DDRII 533/667 system memory up to 4 Gbytes.
The Intel GME965 provides the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 with Intel Clear Video technology for enhanced graphics and 3D rendering.
Supporting CRT and LCD simultaneously, along with the optional high-definition audio board, the HSB-965P is suitable for demanding multimedia-based applications.
The designation 'P' in the part number of HSB-965P refers to the PCI card edge, allowing this card to be used in PCI-based backplanes.
This model offers a multitude of I/O, including four COM ports and seven USB2.0 ports.
It also supports three SATA II, one IDE and one Type II CompactFlash socket.
The HSB-965P can also be configured with 2-Gbit Ethernet ports to meet the needs of high-bandwidth connectivity.
