PSE-ICM magnetic jack
Molex has added a single-port power-over-Ethernet (PoE) magnetic jack — developed in accordance with the IEEE802.3at standard — to its Power Source Equipment (PSE) range.
Based on the RJ45 jack and backwards compatible with the previous PoE IEEE802.3af standard, the PSE-ICM — part of the 85759 series — is described as a complete plug-and-play module that provides engineers with a simplified design process and straightforward migration path from using standard power supplies to a fully integrated PoE capability.
According to the company, eliminating complex design and testing provides original equipment manufacturers with a faster time to market, reduced investment and lower direct and associated purchasing and production costs.
