SBC-model range
Acrosser Technology has added the AR-B5250, AR-B5250CM6C and AR-B5250CM1GZC to its range of 3.5in embedded SBC models.
The embedded SBC AR-B5250 incorporates an Intel Socket, compatible with Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors at FSB 400MHz.
The AR-B5250CM1GZC uses an on-board Celeron M 1GHz CPU; the AR-B5250CM6C uses an on-board Celeron M 600MHz.
All three versions employ a fanless design, making them suitable for a variety of embedded computing applications.
The AR-B5250 range includes one SO-DIMM socket for a maximum of 1GB system memory.
It features two Giga LAN (Intel 82574L) ports, supporting wide band networking demands.
The units feature an Intel 910GMLE chipset and built-in integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 900, which improve performance.
AR-B5250 has several input/output ports, such as: dual 18-bit LVDS and VGA, supporting dual display; and one SATA and one compact flash slot, for multiple storage options.
With six USB 2.0 ports, eight GPIO, stereo audio and four COM (one RS422/485 selectable) ports, the system version becomes a versatile unit for many different applications.
The system supports Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE and Linux.
A hardware-monitoring function helps the maintenance operator check the CPU and system temperature to prevent system malfunction due to bad system-heat dissipation.
A software-programmable watchdog timer can wake the system from unexpected failures and save technical service loads.
As a pre-configured and tested SBC, the AR-B5250 range allows application developers to focus on their software development and system implementation without having to deal with hardware design and system implementation.
AR-B5250 v2.0 comes with DVI function, designed especially for digital signage applications.
It works for dual-display combinations such as VGA+DVI.
It has a built-in DVI chipset on board, saving the additional labour, spaces and cost to install an extra DVI card that other SBC card suppliers require.
Acrosser will attend the Computex 2009 ICT exhibition at Taipei World Trade Center from 2-6 June.
