Eaton supplies UK data centres with uninterruptible power supplies

Uninterruptible power supplies
Eaton has provided Sentrum — which specialises in data centres — with 137 of its uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) to use as a secure power source within some major UK data centres.
The majority of the UPSs selected by Sentrum were from Eaton’s Powerware 9395 range, which has been recognised by the government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme due to their efficiency.
According to Eaton the units — which have a dual-conversion, transformerless design — operate at more than 94 per cent efficiency and generate less heat than other products, thereby creating cooler operating conditions.
The UPSs also feature an energy saving mode that enables them to maintain harmonic distortion without using filters.
