TDK-Lambda adds 15W and 30W converters to range

TDK-Lambda

DC/DC converters

TDK-Lambda has extended its CC-E range of DC/DC converters with the addition of 15W and 30W versions.

Each CC-E power range comprises 32 models and is available in both surface-mount and through-hole packages with applications in factory automation systems, computers and communications devices.

A TDK low-loss ferrite core material is said to ensure high efficiency of operation, resulting in a compact size with an ultra-low profile.

For instance, the 30W CC30-4805SHF-E model measures 37.9 x 31.6 x 6.5mm, achieves an efficiency of 92.5 per cent and a power density of 63.2W/in3.

Accepting a nominal input of either 24V or 48V, these DC/DC converters are available in the most popular output voltages from 3.3-15VDC.

Operating temperature is from -40C to +85C ambient, with a choice of input to output isolation of 500VDC or 1,500VDC.

Added functions include parallel operation, simultaneous start-up and start-up delay functions, as well as remote on/off and output trim feature.

Standard protection features include low-voltage, over-voltage and over-current conditions.

TDK Lambda's CC-E series of ultra-compact DC/DC converters are approved to a range of safety standards, including UL/CSA/EN60950-1, and all models carry the CE mark.

The company has eliminated the use of tantalum and electrolytic capacitors in the design of the CC-E models, ensuring long life and high reliability, supported by a five-year warranty.
