Powerstax releases DC/DC converters for applications such as security equipment
Powerstax
PX series of power modules
Powerstax has released a range of MIL-standard DC/DC converters and pre-regulator, filter and hold-up modules for applications in the aviation, defence, homeland security and telecommunications industries.
The low-cost PX series contains more than 40 products, including single-, dual- and triple-output versions with output power up to 30W.
All modules have an operating temperature range of -55ºC to +105ºC and employ SMT technology, which is claimed to ensure high reliability, low noise and high power density.
Key features of the DC/DC converters
- All models have a wide DC input range of 16–40V and output voltages that can be selected as combinations of 5V, ±12V and ±15VDC
- The converters employ fixed high-frequency (400kHz) switching technology with an on-board input EMC filter and a built-in soft-start circuit
- All modules incorporate output short-circuit and overload protection
