AM2LP-NZ series of DC/DC converters
Aimtec's AM2LP-NZ series of DC/DC converters, measuring 0.24in in height, is designed for applications requiring low-profile components and is also suitable for outdoor use.
A choice of 10 models offers input voltages of 5VDC, 12VDC and 24VDC and either step-up or step-down single outputs of 5VDC, 12VDC or 15VDC to meet the specifications of high-volume applications.
Producing output currents of up to 400mA, with input/output isolation of 1,000VDC at efficiency rates of up to 81 per cent, these converters help to maximise battery lifetime and to minimise unwanted heat generation.
The AM2LP-NZ series operates within a temperature range of -40C to +85C at full power without derating or forced air cooling and features a cold start-up temperature of -40C - an important design feature for outdoor applications.
The converters complement Aimtec's 0.25W and 1W surface-mount converters, providing design engineers with the ability to scale up or down between 0.25W, 1W and 2W modules.
