DC/DC converters
XP Power has announced the availability of its ISF, ISG and ISL series of low-cost miniature surface-mount DC/DC converters.
The ISF and ISG 1W series measure 15.24 x 11.2 x 6.5mm (0.60 x 0.44 x 0.25in).
Together with the slightly larger 1.5W ISL model, these ultra-compact devices take up the minimum of board space allowing designers to reduce the size of their applications.
Wih their industry-standard pin out, they are also suitable as a drop-in replacement for existing designs.
The ISF and ISG models are available with alternative pin out and package configurations to order.
The ISG range provides a single regulated output, covering the nominal voltages of +5V, +12V or +15V DC.
Two variants provide either +5V or +12V DC inputs.
Both the ISF and ISL models provide single- and dual-output versions covering the nominal voltages from +3.3 to +15V DC.
The ISF range offers +3.3V, +5V, +12V or +15V DC input voltage variants.
Accommodating an ultra-wide 4:1 voltage input range, the ISL series are available in +24V or +48V DC models.
The outputs of the ISG and ISL models are regulated within +/-1 per cent over all load conditions, while the ISF series is unregulated.
All IS models provide input to output isolation of at least 1kV.
An optional 3kV isolation rating can be specified when ordering any ISF model.
With a wide range of operating temperature, from -40C to +85C, the IS product range is suitable for most environments.
It can provide full output power, without the need for any forced airflow, up to +70C.
These DC/DC converters offer an MTBF in excess of one million hours, with the ISF and ISG models being rated greater than 3.5 million hours.
All have a three-year warranty.
The IS series is available from Farnell or direct from XP Power for immediate delivery.
