Ericsson offers compact isolated DC/DC power converters for intermediate bus architectures
Ericsson Power Modules
PKU-C series converters
Ericsson has introduced two isolated DC/DC power converters that come in an industry-standard sixteenth-brick form factor and deliver an output current up to 20A, or an output power equivalent to 100W.
The PKU-C series has been developed for mid-range IT and communications power applications that are migrating from multiple-output power modules to fully regulated intermediate bus converters, causing them to require compact DC/DC modules, measuring less than 9mm in height, to save space for core components in low-profile applications.
Designed to operate with a 36–75V input voltage range, the PKU-C series is primarily designed for applications powered by a centralised 48V bus.
However, due to its efficient and flexible power performance, Ericsson claims the series is also suitable for a wide range of applications including those in industrial, process control and automation.
