CUI unveils optical encoders

The AME, BME, and LME are modular incremental encoders that offer a wide range of resolution and bore options, and can provide voltage or line driver output.

Each encoder contains an LED source, an integrated circuit with detectors and circuitry, and an optical disc which rotates between the emitter and detector IC.

These encoders can be quickly and easily mounted on a DC motor or used in other feedback- required applications.

The AME series has two channels with available resolutions of 100, 200, 256, 360, 400, 500, 1,000 and 1,024ppr and bore diameters of 3, 4, 5, 6, 6.35 and 8mm.

The BME series has three channels, including an index pulse, with available resolutions of 100, 200, 256, 360, 400, 500, 1,000, and 1,024ppr (1,000 and 1,024ppr have only two channels and no index), and bore diameters of 3, 4, 5, 6, 6.35 and 8mm.

An optional wide base with 1.81in BC is also available.

The LME series has three channels with available resolutions of 1,000, 1,024, 2,000 and 2,048ppr, and bore diameters of 6, 6.35, 8, 10, 14, 19, and 20mm.
