Bi-stable IP67 power relay
ETA Circuit Breakers has introduced a bi-stable IP67 power relay designed for single-pole switching of loads in vehicle and watercraft applications.
Suitable for use as a battery disconnect relay or for switching other high-current circuits, the ETA PR80 features a robust design, offers side- or foot-mounting styles and has a high level of protection against water and dust ingression.
The rugged, bi-stable ETA PR80 power relay is available in ratings of 100A, 200A and 300A for 12V, 24V or 48V DC circuits.
In release condition, its power consumption is zero, making it particularly suitable for battery-powered systems.
The body of the power relay protects against water and dust ingress to IP67.
Optional suppressor diodes eliminate the risk of damage to control circuitry by back-EMF voltage peaks.
An insulating barrier between the main terminals also protects against shorting when the cables are originally connected.
The bi-stable ETA PR80 is said to complement the mono-stable ETA PR60, which has similar ratings and mounting capabilities.
The variety of combinations of the different configurations and different mounting methods makes the ETA PR80 suitable for a range of applications including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, heavy duty (military) vehicles, agricultural machinery, watercraft, motor homes and construction industry vehicles.
