TDK-Lambda expands LS power supply series

The LS25 and LS35 have an input range of 88 to 264V AC (47-63Hz), and can withstand a 300V AC surge for five seconds minimum.

While these units are suitable for budget-conscious applications, they are up to four per cent more efficient than similar products available, claims TDK-Lambda.

Overcurrent and overvoltage protection are standard features, as is a power-on signal.

The design of the LS Series achieves excellent thermal properties and offers high reliability.

Nominal output voltages range from 3.3 to 48V DC, delivering currents of up to 7A.

To accommodate non-standard system voltages the LS Series is user adjustable by +/-10 per cent.

Series operation is also possible.

The LS Series provides full power from -25 to +50C and can still deliver up to 60 per cent power at 70C depending on the chosen model.

As well as being EN55011/EN55022 and FCC compliant (achieving class B conducted and radiated emissions), TDK-Lambda's LS25 and LS35 meet UL/EN/IEC 60950-1 safety approvals and carry the CE mark.

All models meet EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -11 harmonic correction standards.

With a MTBF of over 600,000 hours, per MIL-HDBK-217F (25C) standard, the LS Series comes with a three-year warranty.
