Sunpower releases the RSP-3000 power supply

The RSP-3000 series features 15.6W/ in3 of extreme high-power density.

By adding 1 - 5.5V of external control voltage, the output voltage can be adjusted from 20 per cent to 110 per cent rated voltage.

RSP-3000 incorporates digital-control techniques that use microprocessors to deal with the power management process.

This increases the flexibility of PSU control and reduces the part count at the same time.

RSP-3000 includes the standard functions of remote sense, remote ON/OFF control, 12V/0.1A auxiliary output and alarm signal output (relay and TTL signal).

The RSP-3000 series uses constant current limiting plus delay shutdown as the overload protection, which allows the unit to power capacitive / inductive load and protects the customer's system.

For a continuous constant current for charging purposes, selecting through the jumper allows the shut-down mechanism to be cancelled.

Applications include front-end power systems, factory automation, instrumentation, moving signs, telecommunications / datacommunications, laser-carving machines, IC testing equipment, LCD panel burn-in systems and battery charging.
